Call for Submissions: The Place Where Everyone’s Name Is Fear (Charity Anthology)
Anthology Submission Call:
The Place Where Everyone’s Name Is Fear
In light of the recent attack on women’s reproductive health, Cody Sexton (Anxiety Press) and Sebastian Vice (Outcast Press), are curating and editing a charity anthology called: The Place Where Everyone’s Name is Fear, with all proceeds going to Planned Parenthood, or other reputable women’s health organizations.
We are open to most genres, including, but not limited to, literary, transgressive, horror, crime, noir, poetry, essays, creative nonfiction (CNF), and speculative fiction. The pieces can be about most anything, so don’t feel you need to write about abortion or women’s issues. We want a smorgasbord of different material. Of course, you can touch on these topics, and are encouraged to do so, but the point is to gather together some of the best pieces in service of a great cause.
We aim to publish between 20-30 pieces.
Flash: 300-1,000 words
Short Stories: 1,500-7,000 words
Poetry: 1-5 poems
Essay: 1,000-5,000 words
Submission Window: May 15th-August 1st, 2022. Acceptances and rejections will be sent out around August 10th.
Tentative Publication Date: September 1st, 2022
Reprints are allowed, but it’s your responsibility to ensure your piece, if accepted, doesn’t violate another publisher’s contract.
