Anxiety Press is the new imprint from A Thin Slice of Anxiety.

We don’t believe in books as polite artifacts. They are tics, fevers, private compulsions dragged into the light, inked evidence that someone couldn’t shut up inside their own skull. What we want are the manuscripts that crawl out from the margins, the ones that smell wrong, think wrong, refuse to behave. Not the literature of comfort, but of abrasion.
Send us work that feels like it shouldn’t exist. Language that stutters, convulses, cuts. Ideas that decent people would rather not name. If it doesn’t disturb you a little to have written it, it probably won’t interest us to read it.

We have no patience for obedience disguised as craft. Convention is just cowardice with good posture. We want the warped, the unstable, the pieces that make narrative itself seem like a bad habit worth breaking. Show us something we haven’t seen or fuck off.

Our collection refuses to be shelved neatly. It’s a scattered anatomy of a world rotting in real time, each book another symptom, another confession.

We’re not here to sell you a fantasy. We use KDP. We take their ISBN's. Your book goes up on Amazon as “independently published.” If that’s a problem, this isn’t the place for you.
 
The Cut is the Cut
Amazon takes their cut (typically 30–65% depending on format). What’s left gets split 70/30 in your favor. No fees hiding in the shadows. No fine print waiting to trip you up later. No creative math. Just a straight deal.
 
This isn’t Fast Money
Amazon pays monthly, with a delay. PayPal, Venmo, Cash App: doesn’t matter. We send it. You get it. That’s the entire transaction. If you need more reassurance than that, you’re not ready for this.
 
No One Reads Ugly Books
We handle everything that makes your book look like it belongs. Cover design. Formatting. The details people ignore and then wonder why no one takes them seriously. Because readers judge fast. And a bad cover will kill you long before anything else gets the chance.
 
We Don’t Argue Our Value
Nothing here is hidden. Nothing here is complicated. This is the model. It works because we don’t waste time pretending it’s something else. If any part of this feels off, stop now. Figure out what you actually want before you waste your time, or more importantly ours. If you’re still here, you get it. And those are the only people we’re interested in working with.
